Environmental whistleblower
Environmental whistleblower is a whistleblower who reports a safety problem or an environmental violation to government agencies or entities that have the authority to take a corrective action. Seven major federal environmental laws (Clean Air, Toxic Substances, Clean Water, Atomic Energy, Solid Waste, Safe Drinking Water and Superfund) have special provisions protecting environmental whistleblowers. Almost any private sector or any federal employee can be protected.
