Katz, Marshall & Banks partner Debra Katz was the keynote speaker at the University of Baltimore’s 11th Feminist Legal Theory Conference.
The theme of this year’s conference, “Applied Feminism and #MeToo,” focused on the impact of the #MeToo movement, and some of its limitations. Speakers at the conference addressed how tools to confront sexual harassment and assault often fall short, and proposed ways to alleviate those issues. Other conference presenters explored factors such as credibility discounting, survivor trauma, contrition, and how sexual harassment intersects with issues of race, age, and gender.
