Katz, Marshall & Banks partner Matthew Stiff presented at the Practicing Law Institute’s 2018 Employment Law Institute. The two-day event provides in-house counsel, human resources, and business professionals with a comprehensive review of employment law, and faculty is comprised of nationally recognized management and plaintiffs’ attorneys, members of the judiciary, in-house counsel and government enforcement agency officials who share their perspectives, insights and experiences.
Offering the perspective of whistleblower counsel, Mr. Stiff presented on the matter of “Sophisticated Issues Faced When Litigating Whistleblower and Retaliation Claims.” He highlighted recent developments in whistleblower and retaliation law, the impact of new technology affect the whistleblower landscape, strategies for successfully handling retaliation claims, and more. Joining Mr. Stiff on the panel was Jason C. Schwartz of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, who serves as Gibson Dunn’s Co-Chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice.
