We apparently are not the only folks in town who believe that Katz, Marshall & Banks Of Counsel Susan L. Burke is a phenomenally interesting person and gifted attorney. The Washingtonian included Susan in its November “Guest List.” The Washingtonian describes the section as “a monthly roundup of people we’d like to have over for drinks, food and conversation.” In the section, pictured below, the Washingtonian notes that Burke’s representation of a Naval Academy midshipman who alleged that she was sexually assaulted by three other midshipmen at a party for the Navy football team helped get the case sent to court-martial following a bruising interrogation of her client by opposing counsel.
In addition to her work with Midshipman Doe, Burke has also joined the trial team for a KMB client who was terminated after she repeatedly blew the whistle on environmental issues at a government agency in Boca Raton, Florida. That case is slated to go to trial in December.
